Vodafone gives green light to its marketplace

The marketplace surpasses the online store in terms of item availability and offers added advantages such asfree shipping with a maximum delivery time of three days in the peninsula. The company has gone to great lengths to ensure a secure payment gateway and a smooth and enjoyable shopping experience for consumers. As an introductory offer, customers will be able to access thousands of products at a 20% discount.

Artificial Intelligence, key to marketplace development

Vodafone, aware of the relevance of new technologies, has also made use of Artificial Intelligence to boost the sales platform. AI systems and the connection with services already integrated in the My Vodafone app enable anticipation of customer needs, resulting in better purchase recommendations.

The company itself has revealed these details in a press release. Hisham Hendi, head of Vodafone Spain’s Consumer Unit, explains that many customers rely on the company to purchase electronic devices. The app is available to all contract and prepaid individual customers, freelancers and micro-enterprises.

It also highlightsother services such as payment in installments, mobile insurance and after-sales service, which will help the marketplace to become an effective solution for many of the operator’s users.

Final launch after pilot tests

The company announced this project a few months ago. Since then, it has been working in pilot tests with more than 100 companies and selected users. The decisive moment has arrived, because after these attempts, all the operator’s users can now access the marketplace from the My Vodafone app.

In the coming months, the company has confirmed, the categories present on the sales platform will be expanded. So far, the operator’s customers can purchase Home, Do-It-Yourself, Health, Urban Mobility, Sports and Toys products. The project, as already announced in March, has the collaboration of Mirakl and Adyen.
